This past week I got the opportunity to hang out with Jessi, Rachel and their two children, Benji and Lucy. This little family is so inspirational in how they live simply. Rachel has made motherhood look beautiful in many aspects. I have followed her journey as a mother for quite sometime through her blog. If you want some encouragement, inspiration or admire a simple way of living, check out her blog: www.rachelwinchester.com. She recently wrote a blog about her home birth. It is fascinating learning why people choose different ways to do things, for example childbirth. This specific topic is different across the board with different couples and families. It was great hearing about why they chose a home birth compared to their experience giving birth to their firstborn.
I love seeing how people live and embrace life. This family has not only made their physical home beautiful but enjoy the beauty of life around them. Little Benji is a little explorer, he is always on the run. When photographing families, especially toddlers, expect them to be all over the place. This specific session is why I love capturing families. I get to interact with the family as they do very normal things. We went outside, then inside, outside then inside. That is the reality of having a toddler that loves being outside all the time. I really enjoyed getting to know Jessi and Rachel as I hung out with them. I heard stories and asked questions about their current season.
